The first choice in every chat

You set how much the assistantmay do.

Before each request you choose whether the assistant only reads, does the work directly or proposes a plan first. Three clear modes, no surprises.

The problem

An AI tool you can't predict is an AI tool you can't trust.

Most assistants are a black box. They either only talk, or they change your data without telling you. Both are risky in a shared team workspace.

  • You can't tell whether a reply is just text or something in the project actually changed.
  • On big jobs, a short request leads to an unpredictable result.
  • A heavyweight model for a simple question is both slow and expensive.

With Taskie

Three clear modes, chosen before you send

You pick the mode next to the message box. Each mode has a clear boundary, and it stays inside it.

  • “Ask” only reads and analyzes; no data changes.
  • “Agent” does what it is allowed to and asks before sensitive changes.
  • “Plan” asks questions first and builds an editable work plan.
  • Choose a fast, standard or smart model — or automatic — for each chat.

Capabilities

What does the assistant do in each mode?

01

Ask mode

Reads project data, summarizes it and answers. The safest choice for reports and reviews.

02

Agent mode

Creates tasks, changes statuses, logs time and moves work forward — within your own permissions.

03

Plan mode

For multi-step work it reviews first, asks what it needs to know and hands you a plan you can edit before it runs.

04

Model choice

A fast model for short answers, a smart one for heavy analysis. Not sure? Leave it on automatic.

Step by step

Get started in three steps

  1. 01

    Open the assistant panel

Press Alt + K on any page; the panel opens with the project you are in already added to the chat.

  2. 02

    Pick the right mode

Need a report? “Ask”. Want it done? “Agent”. Big job? “Plan”.

  3. 03

    Write a clear request

Name the project, the time frame and the result you want. The more precise, the fewer mistakes.

Type it the way you'd say it, in plain language

No prompt engineering required.
  • “Find the overdue tasks in the redesign project and prioritize them for today.”
  • “In Plan mode, build a work plan for the content team for next week.”

Clear limits

What it won't do

  • If you only need a report, choose “Ask” — it is the safest mode.
  • Agent mode never goes beyond your own permissions.
  • The available models and each run's budget depend on your workspace plan.

Frequently asked questions

Agent carries out the request directly and suits short jobs. Plan first builds a multi-step plan so you can review and edit it before it runs.

No. In this mode the assistant gets no write tools, so no task, doc or status can change.

The fast model is enough for everyday questions. For analyzing lots of data or writing long text, the smart model does better. Automatic leaves the decision to the assistant.
