Connected devices
See in your settings which phones and computers are connected to your Taskie account, when each was last used, and revoke access for one device or all of them when needed.
Unlike a browser, the mobile and desktop apps stay signed in after you sign in once. The Connected devices page lists exactly these devices: every phone and computer that's allowed to access your account, in one place and revocable.
How it differs from Active sessions: Active sessions cover the browsers you've signed in with. This page covers apps installed on phones and computers. For browsers, go to Secure sign-in and sessions.
Where to find it
From the account menu, open Settings, and in the security section, click Connected devices.
What's shown
- Device name: the name the device reported when it signed in.
- Device type: Android, iOS, Mac, Windows, or Linux, with the matching icon.
- App version: the version of the app installed on that device. It's useful for troubleshooting.
- Last used: the last time that device worked with your account.
- Last network address: the IP address of the latest connection, to help you spot unfamiliar access.
Devices are sorted by last use, so the most recent ones are at the top of the list.
Revoke access for one device
- Find the device in the list.
- Click Revoke device access and confirm.
- The device is removed from the list immediately, and the app on that device is signed out of your account.
After revoking, that device can no longer create tasks, fetch information, or receive notifications unless it signs in again. No data is deleted; only the permission to access is taken away.
Revoke access for all devices
If your phone or laptop is lost, or you're worried about unwanted access, the Revoke access for all devices button signs them all out at once. Afterward, sign in again on each device you still have.
Security tip: Every revocation is recorded in your account's security history. If you see a device in the list that you don't recognize, first revoke its access, then change your password and turn on two-factor authentication.
Frequently asked questions
- Why does one device appear twice in the list? If you uninstalled and reinstalled the app, a new row may have been created. You can safely revoke the old row.
- Does revoking access sign me out of my browser too? No. Browsers are separate and are managed on the Active sessions page.
- Are unsent tasks on that device lost? Tasks still waiting in the desktop app's send queue stay on that device until you sign in again.
- How often should I review this list? Every few months is enough, especially after you replace your phone or laptop.
- The Last used column is empty. What does that mean? It means that device hasn't done anything yet since it signed in.
- Does revoking access also stop notifications? Yes. That device no longer receives new notifications.
