Recurring tasks, time reports, custom fields, and tickets with AI
New things you can ask Taskie AI to do: set up and pause task repeats, get time reports, read and change custom fields, and file support tickets.
Taskie AI now has access to more parts of the app. Four new areas have been added: task repeats, time reports, custom fields, and support tickets. In all of them, the assistant uses the same capabilities you have in the app, so nothing happens outside your own access.
Task repeats
You can ask for a task to repeat every week, every month, or on specific days; pause the current repeat temporarily; restart it; or remove it entirely. Pausing a repeat means no new occurrences are created. When you restart it, the next date is calculated from that moment, so a pile of overdue occurrences isn't created.
- "Repeat this task every Monday."
- "Pause the weekly report's repeat until the end of August."
- "Remove the repeat from this task."
Note: Resetting or removing a repeat deletes future occurrences that haven't been created yet. Before doing it, the assistant shows how many occurrences will be deleted and asks for your approval.
Time reports
You can ask for a report of the time logged on a project, a task, or over a date range directly in the conversation. The output is based on work hours: total hours logged, each member's share, and billable hours. Taskie doesn't store hourly rates, so reports never show any amounts and the assistant doesn't accept amounts either.
- "How much time was logged on this project last week?"
- "Give me a report of my time on this sprint's tasks."
- "Add up the team's billable hours for August."
Each member sees reports only for data they're allowed to see in the app, so the assistant's report never goes beyond your access.
Custom fields
The assistant can read a task's custom field values, set new values, and list tasks based on those fields. For example, you can ask it to list all tasks whose "Department" is "Sales", or to update a task's "Contract number".
- Reading and changing field values is supported.
- Creating or deleting a field definition isn't. That's an admin's decision and is done from project or workspace settings.
- Changing a custom field value is an undoable action, and you can revert it right away.
Support tickets
If you run into a problem while working, you can ask the assistant to file a support ticket. Because this message goes to the support team outside your workspace, the assistant always shows you the final text and asks for approval before sending. Your conversation isn't attached to the ticket; only the description you approved is sent.
Actions that can't be undone, such as deleting repeat occurrences or sending a ticket, always ask for approval before they run. This approval takes the place of an undo button.
