What's new in 2.10.0
Version 2.10.0 adds an AI assistant to the workflow builder, brings a new template for developing a feature, puts the Inbox on par with the project view, lets you rate support tickets and speeds up the whole app.
Version 2.10.0 has two parts: several new capabilities in workflows, the Inbox and support; and a broad speed overhaul that makes everyday work noticeably smoother than before.
Note: Some features depend on your workspace plan or your permission level. If you don't see an option, ask your workspace admin to check the related permission and plan.
AI assistant in the workflow builder
You can now get help from the assistant right inside the project workflow builder: it can build a new workflow, improve the current one, or review it and point out its gaps. If the assistant suggests new statuses, you accept or reject each suggestion separately, and only the accepted ones are created.
The assistant's result lands in an unpublished draft. That means you can review and edit it safely; until you publish it yourself, nothing changes in your team's ongoing work.
A new template for developing a feature
The workflow template library has a new template that covers a feature's whole path: from backlog, design and analysis to design approval, implementation, code review, testing, ready to merge and merged.
- Design approval requires an estimate, so work that hasn't been sized doesn't move into implementation.
- Passing testing requires all subtasks to be done.
- If a conflict comes up at ready to merge, the work goes back to code review, not to implementation.
The Inbox now matches the project view
Two features that were only in the project task view until now have come to the Inbox too. You can now select several tasks at once and apply a bulk action to all of them. The create task button also works like the project view, so you can choose the task type right away.
Rate a support ticket
After a support ticket is closed, you can rate it once from 1 to 5 stars and, if you like, add a short comment. You're also notified when the ticket is closed, even when an agent closed it.
The rating is recorded only once and can't be changed afterward; if the ticket is reopened and closed again, the earlier rating stays as it was.
Everything opens faster
A large part of this release went into speed. The effect is most noticeable in large workspaces with many projects, many members and thousands of tasks.
- The project task view opens much sooner, and the amount of data your browser downloads has dropped dramatically.
- Creating a task and moving it between statuses happens almost instantly.
- The Inbox, All tasks, the sidebar and the notifications page are lighter and faster.
- Goal progress percentages still update right away, but they no longer slow down saving a task.
My tasks handles very long lists
If you have a lot of tasks assigned to you, the My tasks page no longer lays them all out at once. The first part of the list is shown first, and the rest is added automatically as you scroll down; a Show more button is also available at the end of the list. Counts, filters and sorting still apply to the whole list, not just the part you can see.
Fixes
- The diagram layout and positions in the workflow builder are saved and no longer get lost when you reopen it.
- The workflow builder canvas displays correctly in dark mode.
- Switching between workspaces during a forced join has been fixed.
If you don't see the changes
The speed improvements are less noticeable in small workspaces, because they were already fast. If a page still opens slowly, refresh it once, and if the problem continues, contact support.
A short list of the changes is also on the version 2.10.0 changelog page.
